TJ McMillan Memorial Scholarship
TJ graduated from Rising Sun High School in 2015. He went on to attend Cecil College full-time, pursuing his degree in computer programming and game design. He was a member of the national honor Society, Alpha Alpha Theta. TJ lead a Bible study group and was a member of the GBC, a model club, both through Cecil College. TJ was a very active member at Conowingo Baptist Church, working the sound system for services and he was a member of the college and career group.
TJ enjoyed building and painting Gundam models as well as playing airsoft and he was a train enthusiast. He was a happy and fun loving person, he would light up the room with a smile. TJ had autism, but was determined to never let his disability stop him from achieving his goals. TJ preached about his autism, saying that his disability was really an ability to reach people through Christ. Sharing what God had done for him is what TJ was all about .
We unexpectedly lost TJ on November 2nd 2018 as he went home to be with the Lord. TJ loved people and would do anything to help with their needs. This scholarship in honor of TJ McMillan is in place to help someone else who has overcome a challenge in their life to achieve their goals.
