The Jayne Foard Memorial Scholarship

This fund is established by the Union Hospital Foundation board and friends in memory of Mrs. Foard for her dedicated service to the foundation and the community. She attended Chesapeake City High School class of 1946. Jayne attended Salisbury State Teachers College receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Education, class of 1950. Then she taught English and Social Studies at Bohemia Manor High School and later worked as a guidance counselor at Cherry Hill Middle and North East High School. Following her retirement she was a business owner and was very active in the community.
