Kirsh Law Firm Scholarship

Cecil College is an incredibly important institution as it provides our community with an affordable option for a quality college education. Many Cecil County residents, whether right out of high school or after many years in the work force, are not able to attend a traditional four year university for a variety of reasons. Cecil College provides an opportunity for students to continue their education. Several years ago my wife and I decided that we’d like to support Cecil College. At the same time we were working on a new design for my firm’s Route 40 billboard, and we realized that we could also provide an opportunity for Cecil College students to use their talents and skills in a real-world situation. And so the annual Kirsh Law Firm scholarship contest was created. Each year, we offer Cecil College students the chance to design our billboard. The winning design is chosen by our entire staff. Every year we get some outstanding entries, and the choice is always very hard to make. The winning student receives a $750 scholarship, and we put the winning design on our billboard for several months. We’ve received great feedback from the winning students. They really appreciate the scholarship, but many times they are even more thrilled by having their design on our billboard!
